Wales a ‘dumping ground’ for misfits?

Edwin Phillips reads a Press Release to the mainstream media after revelations on The Eye that the Chairman of controversial new Welsh nationalist party Ein Gwlad (Our Country/Land) described Wales as a “dumping ground for (English) misfits” and its founder had posted a picture of a paramilitary leader holding a gun on his right wing blog.

TIME:  THERE IS NO TIME TO WASTE IN SAVING OUR COUNTRY!

The mainstream media always reports the truth about Ein Gwlad

To:  All Regional Staff Editorial (ARSE)

As a supporter of Ein Gwlad has stressed – armaments are crucial.

One of our backers correctly said:  “When the day for the official launch arrives, we’ll be fully kitted and armed”.

Our esteemed founder Royston Jones has also quite rightly posted on his excellent right wing blog ‘Jac o’ the North’ a picture of Cayo Evans the leader of the Free Wales Army (FWA) pointing a pistol at the camera.

Cayo Evans with gun as seen on the ‘Jac o’ the North’ blog – a ‘friend’ of Royston Jones’

Mr Jones was faultless in praising him as a “friend” and “comrade”, accurately ignoring reports in the English press that the FWA were given or bought, most of its weapons from the Official IRA (OIRA) as part of the latter’s turn away from political violence in the 1960s.

Ein Gwlad also approvingly notes that Mr Jones spent some time in the FWA in his youth where he learnt vital political and organisational skills.

Phil Parry was an ‘irritating little git’

We cheer him for his comments about the annoying Editor of that scurrilous website The Eye Phil Parry, on his blog which sadly few read:  “The meeting yesterday went very, very well. I was delighted with the turnout and with the enthusiasm shown…perhaps the one disappointment – given the interest he’s shown in the new party – was that Phil Parry of The Eye wasn’t there. You could have had a scoop, Parry – ‘Shock! Horror! irritating little git thrown out of meeting”.

Three days later he wrote after another ridiculous article on The Eye:  “Following Phil Parry’s latest attack on me I asked for the right to reply (we have been told there has in fact been no such request), but he hasn’t responded.  I’d prefer to ignore the irritating little git but he is now making serious and misleading allegations that have to be answered”.

We exhort those in the mainstream media to ignore reports, notably in The Eye, that there has been a long delay in forming Ein Gwlad and that an Aberystwyth hotel cancelled our booking for a room where the much-anticipated launch was to take place, after certain so-called facts about Mr Jones emerged, such as of him posting the picture of Mr Evans with the handgun.

The hotel room was cancelled

It is clearly evidence of an English plot that Mr Jones was told by the hotel: “With regards to … concerns, we have now cancelled your meeting room with full refund of payment”.

This only serves to underline the threat of the English coming into Wales.

As our highly-experienced Chairman Gwilym ‘The Gardener’ ab Ioan, justifiably said 18 years ago when he was at the centre of a large supposed controversy over English inward migration into Welsh-speaking communities, that Wales was “a dumping ground for oddballs and misfits”.

Read the ‘apology’ in the mainstream media

He stuck by this view as we will also do in Ein Gwlad, telling the Western Mail:  (I) have no intention of making a retraction”.

We will not retract our manifesto promises either that: “Exposing the wrong doings of the colonial establishment will eventually wake people up in a colony – which is what Wales still is”.

Comparing yourself to Gandhi prompts some criticism

It is NOT absurd to compare the party with Gandhi as our critics have said.

We have been entirely truthful when we say:  “Gandhi was the early leader of a populist party. That is the ball park that Ein GWLAD is in”.

For populist read popular, which is what we will become!

Is Ein Glwad hiding something?

We applaud the Ein Gwlad supporter who said our policies will raise Wales “from under the crushing heel of unionist repressive policies that have with held the country from achieving its full potential”.

Just because the ‘flat tax’ we have endorsed, was floated by the right wing think tank The Adam Smith Institute does not mean we have a regressive attitude to people’s income.

After all we have said:  “By adopting a flat rate of tax with appropriate allowance and rate, lower and medium earners would be better off, while higher earners would pay slightly more but not excessively so”.

Ein Gwlad are ‘proper’

It does NOT smack of desperation that we told Nation.Cymru our manifesto launch showed we are a “proper” political party, or that we have an ‘interim’ leader in Gwyn Wigley Evans.

‘Gwilym the gardener’ was known for his attention to detail, except when it came to filing accounts

Our backer Royston Jones is to be congratulated for his ‘meat’ allusions in the excellent Nation.Cymru report on our manifesto launch when he responded correctly to a reader’s statement with the words: What a pathetic and personal commenthe really is the most gammony of gammons”.

Mr ab Ioan should also be supported for unfortunately failing to get his allotment scheme off the ground (pun intended) and not filing accounts with that oppressor’s organisation Charity Commission for ENGLAND and Wales which said:  “This charity has failed to provide information on its finances…”.

He rightly made his anger clear when he stressed the time-wasting nature of this English imperialist body in a letter by stating:  “… the whole matter has been the subject of filibustering”.

Phil Parry – ‘a lying bastard’?

Mr Jones will also be defended for his views on the ‘Jac o’ the North’ blog when he wrote:  “That lying bastard Phil Parry never misses an opportunity to twist or invent ‘facts’”. He continued:  “He’s a mouthpiece for the Labour Party (many of The Eye articles have apparently been about the misdeeds of Labour politiciansand often ‘trails’ stories for Llais y Sais (we now understand that they never in fact write ‘trails’ for other organisations).

We are told that the equal treatment of disabled people is viewed by commentators as a progressive mark of civilised countries, and it is seen as important to address debilitating illnesses, but Mr Jones rightly, has a different view.

The ‘Full Of Shit’ award for Royston Jones

One of the lines by him on Jac o’ the North which caused particular offence to those English-lovers was:  “Am I alone in thinking there’s an element of a Victorian freak show in the Paralympics?”.

So we urge people to join Ein Gwlad, especially if they are armed – but disabled English misfits will not be allowed.
